The Maker's Story

Woodworking is more than a craft for Pete; it’s a connection to the land. Every piece begins with the raw material, sourced directly from local forests. Unlike many, Pete takes pride in the entire lifecycle of the wood, from the first cut of the fallen tree to the final polish of a handcrafted table.

By cutting and milling his own wood locally, he ensures each board retains its natural character and strength. This hands-on approach allows Pete to select the perfect grain pattern for his custom projects, ensuring that no two pieces are ever truly alike.
Our Process
01
Selection
The journey begins with selecting the finest local timber. Pete personally hands-picks each slab, looking for unique grain patterns and natural character that define the final piece.
Milling
Once selected, the wood is milled to precise dimensions. Pete uses his local sawmill to ensure the cut honors the wood's structural integrity and aesthetic potential.
Shaping
This is where the vision comes to life. Using traditional joinery and bandsaw techniques, Pete shapes the piece, carefully refining curves and edges by hand.
Finishing
The final touch involves meticulous sanding and the application of natural oils. This process protects the wood while making the natural grain truly glow.
